(More customer reviews)From what I could get through of it it was too drawn out and lacked excitement. Sorry I am being truthful. By the past reviews and the description of the book it sounds very interesting. Unfortunately for me it was a serious let down.

Six years ago, eleven year old Mindy Brown's father (a pilot) disappeared along with his plane, leaving Mindy and her mother struggling to get by and longing for his return. Finally, things take a turn for the better when Mindy has an idea...a very brilliant idea. When Mindy sacrifices her meager life savings to launch an after-school business, doors that she never imagined are opened to her. When one of her clients and his young assistant reveal that they're alchemists and ask her to join their team, her life is changed forever. The whirlwind adventure that ensues takes the three unlikely heroes (and a few devious rivals) abroad in search of the first of the three remaining ingredients, where an unprecedented exploit unfolds and a centuries old mystery begs to be solved. A Flower in the Depths is the first installment of the Bug Sweeper trilogy.
